纵观2017-2018年，新西兰收入最高的行业依然是IT业，根据Trade Me 的最新调查，收入排名三甲的职位都和IT有关，其中信息架构/IT的年薪高达 $135,000。
同时，有关IT的职位多达6000个。无论从事什么行业，都需要直接或间接借助IT技术，因此任何拥有IT技能和IT通信技术的人在求职时都会处于非常有利的地位。
几乎新西兰所有的大学，公立理工学院，私立院校等都开设IT的专业，申请人选择时往往会比较茫然。在学位课程中，百伦建议尽可能选择ITP，即IT Professionals NZ所认证的课程。
