课程需要较好的生物化学基础，对于直接从海外入读的学生来说还要有较好的专业性英文基础。从业门槛并不低，且职业发展注重工作经验。相对于新西兰本地就读高中生来说，是较好的选择，尤其针对临床医科类难度较低。
