Production Manager (Mining) – 生产经理（采矿）

在实际工作中，生产经理（采矿）的工作内容包括：

• 规划采石场或矿山未来的生产；plan future production of a quarry or mine
• 监督采石或隧道施工；oversee quarrying or tunnelling
• 检查岩石或矿物的质量；check the quality of rocks or minerals
• 招聘和培训员工；hire and train staff 
• 确保所有相关法律、法规和工作守则得到遵守，包括安全检查；ensure all relevant laws, regulations and codes of practice are followed, including safety inspections
• 监控采矿或采石作业对环境的影响；monitor the environmental impact of the mining or quarrying operation
• 监督预算、账目和销售；oversee budgets, accounts and sales
• 与供应商、承包商、客户、股东和公司经理联系和谈判。liaise and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, clients, shareholders and corporate managers.

在行业内，要成为生产经理（采矿）需要具备多年的采矿或采石场工作经验，并且持有新西兰工作安全机构WorkSafe New Zealand 办法的行业证书Extractives Certificate of Competence。

学历上，严格来说，新西兰并没有相关专业的高等学历（隔壁邻居澳洲有很多）。

在新西兰，矿业并不发达，生产经理（采矿）的工作机会一般，但在未来会有一定程度的增长：

• 煤矿与金矿价格的提升；an expected price rise for coal and gold in 2018
• 在职的生产经理（采矿）离开新西兰前往澳洲求职工作；mine managers leaving to find better paid work in Australia
• 在职的生产经理（采矿）多数已经接近退休年纪。

目前，有大概4000人从事采矿业，大概1900人从事采石业，随着近年建筑业、房地产业的积极发展，对建筑原料的需求业随之上升。

生产经理（采矿）的薪资因工作地点、矿场规模而有不同。采石场生产经理的年薪在10至15.5万纽币之间；采矿场生产经理的年薪在13万至21万纽币之间。

不是新西兰移民局规定的短缺职业。
